Volunteer Application
CRC SUMMER VOLUNTEER RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Assist CRC staff and interns with
daily preparation for Day Camps.
- Arrive 30 minutes before campers are due to arrive.
- Blow up balloons, make Kool-Aid, make name tags, etc.
- Stay 30 minutes after campers leave to help with clean
up and attend end-of-day mini-meetings for announcements,
etc.
2. Participate as staff for Day Camps.
- Supervise, lead, and spiritually nurture a small group
of kids.
- Supervise an assigned activity, i.e. canoeing, archery,
obstacle course, etc.
- Participate or assist in worship.
- Assist CRC staff and interns as needed.
3. Attend a training session
4. Commit to one, two, or all three of
the following…
- Jr Hi Day Camp
- Elementary Day Camp - 3rd & 4th graders
- Elementary Day Camp - 5th & 6th graders
- Elementary Day Camp - both groups
*Please check which ones you are committing to
on the application.
5. Abide by CRC’s Lifestyle Statement:
“I am committed to a Biblical standard of morality which
includes my language (no profanity, crude jokes, etc.); my dress
code (modest swim-wear, not-too-short shorts, etc.); my abstention
from the use of alcohol, tobacco, illegal drugs, and the abuse
of prescription drugs; and the respectful way in which I conduct
myself around the opposite sex.”
Volunteer Qualifications
1. A believer in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
2. A willingness to do the aforementioned responsibilities.
3. A commitment to CRC’s Lifestyle Statement while volunteering.
4. A heart for the spiritual development of kids.
Application Process
- Complete and return CRC’s application by June 1st.
- Possible interview with directors.
- Possible pastoral reference check.
- Notification of acceptance by June 15th.
